Services

We offer two types of services to the greater Omaha community:

Adolescent Group Homes:
Youth Care & Beyond has 3 community based group homes (Group Home A)
in North Central Omaha. Each of these homes is staff by live-in Family Model Coordinators. The
goal of the program is to create a family style home where children can learn and grow through
nurturing relationships with appropriate structure. Each child comes with a unique set of strengths
which the treatment team utilizes to assist them with their problem areas. These problem areas
include: lower intellectual functioning and behavioral and mental health issues. Many of the
children have been the victims of neglect and abuse. The children’s families are an integral part of
treatment planning and implementation. When children graduate the program, they may move on
to live independently, some will return home to their families, and others will move on to supported
or assisted living situations which may include our adult residential program.

Supported Adult Residential Services:
The adult residential program utilizes the same teaching and
learning principles as the youth program. The setting, however, is semi-independent. Our adults
live in apartments, usually with one other roommate. Adult Care Coordinators are available 24
hours a day and 7 days a week. We have a person/family centered approach to care where all
individuals provide input to the team. The treatment team determines when the client is in need of
support. Staff focuses the support and habilitation around those times. The focus is building on
strengths already in place to develop and reinforce new skills to promote independence. Feel free

Family Support Services:
Family Restoration/Support services offer families with the learning skills to restore and stabilize
the family and to keep the children placed at home. Restoration Service Workers focus on
parenting skills, stress management, behavior management, nutrition, accessing an using
community resources or support systems, better communication, and self sufficiency.
